The MPPT has been working erratically since day one. I’m monitoring the solar energy production on my home automation system and here is an example:
As we can see on this graph, the production stays stuck at around 200W… until I shut down the AC and turn it back on. Otherwise, the wvc-600 production stays at 200W all day long. With a total of 3600W solar panels, that’s not much. At least they wont overheat!!!
And it didn’t happened just once, but the problem arise regularly:
I’ve contacted the manufacturer, Dongguan KaiDeng Energy Technology Co, but they’ve never replied.
This shows how unreliable the WVC micro inverters are, and the lack of support.

Try to mail wen@kaidengdg.com
It can be usefull
I’m also monitoring the inverters production and also noticed a simular behaviour on my wvc-1400 (my solar system is composed by two inverters wvc-1200 and wvc-1400). Reported that to the manufacturer and they told me the issue was on the software of the microchip.
But I think I found a workaround… As you may know you can communicate directly with each wvc inverter via 433Mhz module. You can collect data and also adjust power output.
So once you detect this mppt issue you can send a command to the wvc inverter to output the maximum power and the mppt will start working properly.
If you want you can send me and e-mail and I can show you some graphs that indicates this seams to be working.
wvc-600 micro inverter failing locking MPPT
I have the same problem with a wvc1600. But it is not reproduce able. I do not know when this happens.
I have a similar problem with the 1600-Life version of this inverter.
After a night being off, even in bright sunshine it will produce no power (according to the app).
It requires the inverter to be shut down and restarted via the on/off switch in settings and then it works again, and the app shows power generated.
Clearly I can’t manually do this every morning, so unless there is some fix I will return it to the seller for a full refund.
Wvc 600. Same problem.
